Questions and answers on Mogo's services
Applying
- What are the requirements for applying for a Vehicle Equity Loan?
All citizens of the Republic of Estonia and individuals living in Estonia on the basis of a residence permit or right of residence who are at least 18 years old can apply for a loan from Mogo.
Estonian juridical persons can also apply.
- How to apply for a Vehicle Equity Loan?
Submit the application and we will make you an offer within 30 minutes. If the answer is positive, the contract can then be concluded digitally (if you have an ID card or Mobile ID) or by visiting a suitable Mogo service point. After concluding the contract, register the vehicle in the name of Mogo OÜ at the Road Administration Office (or through their e-service) and become the responsible user of the vehicle. Notify Mogo upon completing all the paperwork. We will transfer the money to your account and you can continue driving your car.
- Which documents are needed to draw up a contract?
To draw up a loan Agreement the document for identification is required: a passport of the Republic of Estonia, an alien's passport (so-called gray passport), an ID card, a driving license or a residence permit. The residence permit or the right of residence must be valid for at least 6 more months.
The document is also required at the Road Administration Office.
- Can I still drive my car after signing the loan contract?
Yes, you can. Until the end of the contract term the owner of your car is Mogo OÜ and you are the responsible user.
- Does the car have to have a valid traffic insurance and casco?
The execution of a traffic insurance policy is mandatory after the registry operations have been performed by the Road Administration (upon writing the vehicle in the name of Mogo). Casco insurance is not obligatory.
